A few weeks ago, Lennie and I took advantage of a sunny afternoon and a dropping tide to hike to Third Beach with our Shitzhu, Yoda. The skies were on fire for us and waves made unique formations as the tide pulled the waters out and away from land.
We ended up getting a little wet by skirting around the headlands and dodging the waves, but it was well worth it for the extra coastline we were able to see – nothing against the forest of course, it is equally beautiful!
The hike had started out sweltering, despite the time of year. I was glad to have my 150 weight Icebreaker Tech Lite short sleeve T-shirt as a baselayer. I was even happier to be able to turn for home in my Arctic Zip as it got COLD once the sun went down!
