Today we had the T49As on the east side of San Juan Island, north of Friday Harbour. We observed at least one seal predation during our time with them. They were mostly foraging and hunting, with several long dives, and after their kill showed some enthusiasm by tail lobbing and goofing around.

This family is made up of a mother and her three calves, including one youngster who is only a few years old and still orange/creamish in colour and a 13 year old male who is reaching sexual maturity. His dorsal fin has not yet firmed up and still wobbles significantly.
